Mastiff's gotten in on the ground floor with Dr. It's a very, very simple concept, and perhaps it's that simple concept that's driven Sudoku's popularity off the scale. Each game starts you out by permanently affixing correct numbers in the slot, but it's up to you to work on the rest by using those as clues to where every number should go. So, what is Sudoku? Simple: take a nine-by-nine grid and fill it up with the numbers 1 through 9 without repeating the number in the same row, column or cluster of three-by-three grid that number sits in. I come to the realization after being assaulted on all fronts. "It's fantastic." Okay, so my friend might be onto something here. ![]() "Don't you Sudoku?" It's the hottest searched term on the web!" He's making it sound like nudie, candid pictures of J.Lo by this point. "Uh, what's Sudoku?" This time, he pauses. "Su-do-ku." He waits for my recognition of the word. "Su…what? Did you just sneeze?" "Sudoku," he repeats. I pause because I don't even know what he said. For the Game Boy Advance." He pauses for dramatic flair. "It's that hot, is it?" He says the affirmative. "Craig," he says, "We've got the hot game of 2006 for you." "Oh really," says I.
